Evergreen take The Dursley Rugby Football Club Challenge

When Evergreen decided to take the Dursley Rugby Football Club challenge, we didn't know that it would prove to be a lasting relationship.

Since 2006, Evergreen have proudly sponsored Dursley Rugby Football Club through development, technical support and hosting services, providing a much needed resource for the club. 

The Club:  Dursley Rugby Football Club is a significant contributor to the social and cultural life of Dursley, Cam and the surrounding Vale area in Gloucestershire. With more than 600 senior members the club fields three regular senior teams, a continually strengthening ladies team, and many junior and minis teams with both girls and boys playing, a significant proportion of the local population have some contact with the club.  (Andrew Cope, Managing Director is pictured with the team at a recent event)

The Challenge:  The Rugby Football Club challenged us to build a custom content management system with differing authority/access levels and save time spent on creating fixture lists.

The Creation:  The system we created is very flexible with different authority/access levels for admin users and the ability to tailor the content to individual groups. When visitors to the site click on a specific group (e.g. U14s), they can view upcoming fixtures, recent results, including match reports, the relevant contacts for that group and latest news that relates purely to the group they have selected. Content is refreshed each season and fixtures, match reports and photos are updated weekly. Members can be contacted through the integrated newsletter email system, and committee groups and sub-groups can be managed easily and contacted quickly. Resources can be quickly uploaded as PDF documents, giving transparency of the club's policies pertaining to child welfare, health and safety, insurance and codes of conduct etc. as well as providing useful information for the team coaches, existing members of the club and also those who are interested in joining.
