Why integrate your software systems

5th May 2016 :: Author: Andrew Cope, Managing Director, Evergreen

A growing business needs to invest in business software systems to manage its operations. Most businesses Multiple systemswill end up with multiple systems in place, each doing a different job. This is often inefficient and results in software integration challenges. Below are the main risks of disjointed software systems:

  • Reduced Employee Productivity – If employees are to be productive they mustn’t be bogged down with unnecessary admin. When staff have to manage multiple tasks such as order processing and invoicing via separate systems, the tasks take longer to complete and the risk of errors is increased.
  • Lack of real-time information – In addition to being labour intensive, transferring data between systems causes data to be out of sync. Overlapping databases prevent business owners from having an accurate view of business performance. Critical decisions are therefore made slowly, if at all.
  • Constant upgrades and excess cost – Maintaining multiple systems is expensive and requires substantial IT resources. Once a system is upgraded more changes will need to be made to other systems so that they can still work together.

Evergreen’s systems work with your existing systems, so you don’t need to get rid of your previous software investments. Staff can continue using the systems they are comfortable with and won’t need to learn new skills. We integrate our custom database software with existing services using supported interfaces that automatically push and pull information in a secure and timely manner. Now you don’t have to spend your whole day copy/pasting information from one application to another, never being quite sure which one has the up-to-date details!
